At Bishnu Engineering ("we", "our", or "us"), securing your enterprise data is our highest priority. This Privacy Policy governs your use of the Attendi Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, our RFID IoT hardware scanners, and associated services.
Summary: You own your employee data. We only process it to make your attendance systems work. We do not sell your data to advertisers or third parties.
1. Overview & Roles (DPDP Act 2023)
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act of India, 2023, the roles are strictly defined:
- Data Fiduciary (You): The company/employer registering for the Attendi platform. You are responsible for obtaining explicit consent from your employees before adding their biometric or personal data to our system.
- Data Processor (Us): Bishnu Engineering. We process this data strictly on your behalf and instructions to provide the attendance tracking service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to operate the hardware and cloud infrastructure securely:
- Corporate Data: Company Name, GSTIN, registered address, and billing information.
- Administrator Data: Names, work emails, phone numbers, and securely hashed passwords of the HR/Admins managing the dashboard.
- Employee Workforce Data: Names, Employee IDs, assigned departments, optional phone/email, and Government ID numbers (Aadhaar/PAN) if provided by the employer.
- Biometric & Hardware Data: RFID/NFC tag Unique Identifiers (UIDs), facial biometric captures (if opted into our biometric hardware plan), and continuous punch-in/punch-out timestamps generated by the physical attedance devices.
3. How We Use the Information
We utilize the collected data strictly for operational purposes:
- To authenticate IoT hardware devices connected to your physical premises.
- To accurately log, calculate, and report employee attendance, shift compliance, and leave balances.
- To generate exportable payroll-ready data reports.
- To send critical system alerts (e.g., "Device Offline" notifications) to your administrators.
4. Data Security & Retention
We implement enterprise-grade security protocols, including AES-256 encryption for data at rest and TLS 1.2+ for data in transit between the attendance devices and our servers. Access to your company portal is logically isolated within our multi-tenant database architecture.
Retention: We retain attendance logs for as long as your account is active. If you terminate your subscription, we automatically purge all personal employee data and hardware logs within 60 days of termination.
5. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your workforce data. We may share minimal necessary data with trusted cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Hostinger, AWS) solely for hosting the database securely. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
6. Your Rights
As the Data Fiduciary, you have full control over your dashboard. You can add, edit, or permanently delete employee records and attendance logs at any time. Employees wishing to access or delete their data must contact their respective employer (you), and you can execute these requests via the Attendi dashboard.
